How do judges score?
CameraComp uses a fair, anonymous judging process. Here's what happens after you submit your entry.
Anonymous judging
Judges see only your image and title—never your name. This ensures every entry is evaluated on its own merit.
Scoring criteria
Each club can configure their own criteria, but common factors include:
- Technical quality: Focus, exposure, noise handling
- Composition: Use of space, balance, visual flow
- Impact: Emotional response, storytelling
- Creativity: Original approach, artistic vision
Score scale
Most competitions use a 1-10 scale. Scores of 8+ typically indicate a strong image. A score of 10 is reserved for exceptional work and often receives an award.
When results are released
Results are released after all entries have been judged. Your club admin will notify you when results are available—you'll see your scores in your Member Dashboard.
Note: Each club may have slightly different judging rules. Check your club's guidelines for specific details.
